What Integrated Services for Behavioral Health does
Integrated Services for Behavioral Health (ISBH) is a nonprofit behavioral health provider based in Nelsonville, Ohio. For adults it offers counseling, psychiatry, substance use treatment, medication for opioid use disorder, peer support, recovery housing and help with homelessness. For young people it offers school-based services, intensive home-based therapy, day treatment and residential care. In an October 2024 announcement, CareSource said ISBH serves more than 15,000 people a year across 21 counties in southeastern and central Ohio.
Much of that work happens in small towns. In 2019 ISBH moved its administrative offices into the former Doctors Hospital building in Nelsonville. It also runs The Hive in Nelsonville, a youth drop-in center with arts and crafts, music lessons, outdoor trips, mentoring and a healthy dinner each night. Other programs include the Mary Hill Youth & Family Center for residential treatment, the Roweton School for students with behavioral challenges, Help Me Grow home visits for families with young children, and Groundwork Recovery Housing for women in McArthur.
Charity Navigator gives ISBH four out of four stars. In January 2026, ISBH and Fairfield Community Health Center announced that both boards had approved plans to join the two organizations, bringing behavioral health and primary care together. Online gifts go through a Zeffy form linked from ISBH's website.
